New SFC system installed to enable faster and greener separations

Last week, the team from Waters Corporation France and Sweden visited our Chemical Analysis and Separation lab to install two new SFC (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography) systems.

SFC technology provides significant advantages in drug discovery, facilitating the production of enantiomerically pure drugs, quicker separations, and environmental sustainability through the utilization of CO2 instead of harsh solvents.

Enantiomerically pure drugs offer a strategic advantage as they result in enhanced therapeutic effectiveness, with more predictable pharmacokinetics and reduced toxicity. This provides a regulatory advantage and enhances the chances of achieving commercial success.
